Healthy home-made salsa and guacamole

Had an early dinner today and made some healthy salsa and guacamole to go with my turkey and nachos. I'm not a big fan of the store-bought salsa as it usually contains sugar and I try to eat as clean as possible most of the times.

Salsa:

For about 2-3 persons.

3 large tomates
1/2 red onion
2-3 cloves of garlic (depending on taste)
1 lime
tabasco sauce (optional)

Take the seeds out of the tomatoes and then chop the up very finely along with the red onion. Press the garlic into the mix, or if you don't have a garlic press just chop them up finely and add. Then squeeze the juice from the lime into the mix. If you prefer your salsa spicy you can add a tiny bit of tabasco sauce, though I never do as I think the garlic and red onion spice it up enough.

Tip: Remember to roll the lime firmly on the kitchen counter with your hand to loosen up the juice.

Guacamole:

For about 2 persons.

1 avocado
1 large tomato
1/2 lemon
a pinch of salt

Mash the avocado in a bowl. Rinse the seeds from the tomato and then chop it up finely. Add a pinch of salt and finish with squeezing half a lemon over it.

Tip: keep the avocado pit in the bowl with the mix to keep the guacamole from turning brown.
